Before blazing a trail across Atlanta’s hottest kitchens Chef Cappello worked with some of the more prominent names in food, including Chef Georges Perrier and Francesco Martorella of Brasserie Perrier and Le Bec Fin, and CMC Jack Shoop of the Governor’s Club in Tallahassee, Fla. Using his signature style which he describes as a fusion of Italian, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, Cappello has made a name for himself by creating, among other things, “small plates” food that is anything but ordinary. After working as Chef de Cuisine at both TWO. urban licks, and The Atlanta Grill at The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, he went on to be Executive Chef at both M!X lounge, bar, restaurant and Sweet Lowdown in Midtown. Now Cappello has launched his own company, JCL Global Culinary, which works in all facets of the food business including: cooking demonstrations and classes, consulting and kitchen design, and restaurant and food business marketing. JCL Global Culinary is also making a name for itself with its beer and wine dinners at various venues across town, where the chef pairs his own twist on food with the brew master’s and vintner’s best liquid refreshment.
